Course Summary
This video was made to be part of a larger course about Fair Workweek laws. There have been law passed in certain areas protecting worker's rights to decline extra shift if they are proposed within a certain time frame of the active schedule. This video helps managers know what is expected of them, how early they need to implement the schedule, and what repurcussions there are to changing the schedule.
Purpose of Video
This video was created to assist managers of El Sol to be more familiar with the Fair Workweek Laws and how it impacts their scheduling.
I chose a video for this topic to utilize storytelling to make a technical topic more engaging.
The Video was made in Vyond.
Video Summary
This video was made for a resume writing company who wanted a free product for the public. I wrote the script, provided the voice over, and captured my screen as I built the job tracker in Notion. Notion is a powerful database tool that has pages automatically populate within each column of a database.
The intention was to have videos showing how to build the database and a template within each entry to more easily group the information from each job the client applied to.
This sample was made in Camtasia, with assets from Notion, Envato, and Canva.
Challenge Summary
This sample was made as a technical skills example as suggested by the E-Learning Heroes weekly challenge, #464: How are Course Designers Using Labeled Graphics in E-Learning? The challenge was to have a labeled graphics interaction that showcases the flexibility of this interaction and how easily you can get learners involved in the process.
Purpose of Interaction
This interaction was made based on much trial and error (and some research) at home of the best way to assemble burgers so there is crunch where needed and the buns do not get overly soggy.
This sample was made in Articulate Storyline.
Poster Summary
This poster originated from a weekly challenge from Canva. The challenge was to make an infographic that breaks down steps in a process. It was meant to be a social media post initially, but I wanted a place to share my project a bit more permanently.
Purpose of Poster
This poster was made for new and experience instructional designers. It can be printed and hung next to a desk or in a Learning & Development office.Â
I have found I often refer to the ADDIE model when I am starting a new project, but I don't always remember what each letter stands for. I made this infographic as more of a personal project, but found there are others who need the reminder as well.
